The Trossachs
Location: Scotland
Established: 2002
The Trossachs National Park is Scotland’s first national park and consists of four areas - - the hills, mountains and woods of The Trossachs, mountainous Breadalbane, Argyll Forest with its ancient trees, and Loch Lomond, the country’s largest freshwater lake. And, while Loch Lomond is quite grand, the park has 22 other lochs and 50 rivers, as well as 21 mountains over 3,000 feet, 19 mountains between 2,500 and 3,000 feet and countless hiking trails, making it an incredible playground for leisurely sightseers, mountaineers and hill walkers.
